Those are great ! I'm going to visit your thread often Post more works!
And a question : I was never experienced with pencils and paper.
But when I work with oils, I choose very carefully the quality of the materials I'm going use, because it makes a huge difference. In your opinion, is it the same with paper and pencils ? Thanks
Thank you so much guys for all your nice comments and warm welcomes!!! I will definitely be posting more work in the future.
@ Mariyan-Hristov : I understand what you mean about oil colors and I myself do the same when it comes to most of the traditional media I use. With regards to pencils and paper, I find that the quality does make a difference but not a huge one. If you're looking to just make preliminary sketches for a final illustration I think you can do that on any kind of paper, but if you're looking to make a a pencil drawing as a final piece then yes, the pencils and paper you use are important because they add to the way the drawing looks, and a bit of paper texture and nice, dark, rough lines of various intensities and thicknesses give it a very pleasant look. And to be honest the very feel of a good pencil on nice textured paper puts you in a creative mood and makes you want to draw just for the sake of it hahah
I use all kinds of paper and pencils but as long as the pencils are not really crappy and the paper is not wrapping paper (although that one might work as well sometimes) I think you can get really nice sketches with any kinds of materials you use.
