Just purchased a Wacom DTU-2231, post your questions and I'll do an artist review.

    Hey all,

So I just purchased a used Wacom DTU-2231 (PL-2200) today and just like I did with my Lenovo x230t I'm going to do a written and video review for all those curious.

So, the device was being sold on which is pretty much the main trading post website for Australia.

A plumbing company had two of them for AUD $450.00 (Current rrp AUD $1600.00, was closer to $2000.00 when purchased) - I could've bought the second one and sold for a profit but instead I alerted a mate and he is purchasing it tomorrow, aren't I kind?! Haha... (Rule of life: Try not to be a dick and help others instead of personal gain).

Now keep in mind that this is the business class series, it's not exactly meant for art creation - but the way I saw it it's a 21.5" 1920 x 1080p screen with 512 pressure levels... It may not be advertised by Wacom for art creation, but it sure as hell can do the job!

The company said they bought it around 4 years ago but I'm tipping less.
The device is in immaculate condition, no scratches, no dead pixels, no blemishes of any kind (that I've noticed thus far).

    21.5" TFT LCD 1920 x 1080p screen
    200 nits
    2540 lpi
    512 pressure levels
    Adjustable stand
    DVI in and out
    2x USB input

This is everything I managed to find on the DTU-2231 (PL-2200):
    Brochure/Spec Sheet:
    User Manual:
Only art review I could find:
Only other piece of art I could find:
    Video 1:
    Video 2:
    Video 3: Matt Baker:
    Video 4:

Note that the videos are pretty much worthless for any English speakers and don't go into any real detail that is about art.

So, ask any questions you want answered and I'll do a written and video review probably next Monday (28/04 or 04/28 for those in the US).

EDIT: I'll also like to note that I did have the x230t and DTU-2231 playing nicely and I could draw on both earlier, however I can't anymore... I'll look into it and report back.
