Hey Guys, I'm stevXooN a german 18 years old high school student who wants to become a concept artist. I've started drawing since i was 6 but spend a high amount of time between my 10th to 16th birthday playing to much video games then focusing on my drawingskills. Now i realy want to focus on my main goal "becoming a (good) concept artist (as fast as possible)". During my holidays i've spent a couple of hours with sketching on paper, most of the time environments. I realy hate to draw architecture and anatomy due to the fact that they're very hard to draw with my perspective skills and understanding. Against my habbit i've started to begin from scratch, focusing on the perspective part and the fundamentals like never before to achieve my goal. So let's make a fresh start from zero. Critique, help, tips & tricks are very welcome and needed
Hi! Great that you decided to become a proffesional artist! I wish you good luck try to scale your images down before you upload them, because I can't see the full image due to the size I think perspective is a good skill to aquire early on! There are some simple perspective tutorials on youtube to get you started, then start looking for books and other stuff. If you're willing to spend a feew bucks on a dvd I can recommend this dvd by Scott Robertson. It's a great introduction to drawing freehand perspective, here is the link: Click here. Keep it up!
Hi Artplur, thanks for the feedback. I'll definitely check Scott's DVD and books out in a couple of days. Due to the price of the gnomon ones, i've started with Xia Taptara / IDrawGirls - Perspective tutorial first.
...Maybe something went wrong with the uploader. I can see my uploads in fullsize (scaled down by the attachmend manager), or it's just bug of your/my browser.
