some really nice value work here. double check the width of your mouth. It seems more narrow than it is probably. compare it against the width of the nose. also try to model the roundness of the eyesocket. you are getting the roundness of the eyeball that is visible but not the form of the eyeball in the eyesocket.

    keep it up.

    Thanks Jason for the critique

My mouth is surprisingly small when its relaxed, but I will make sure to measure more carefully next time. As for the eye, yeah I am guilty of not taking careful considering of the ball of the eye. I've sort of found a generic way to render eyes. Maybe that needs work on.

Not sure when another update will come as I'm well into color 1.2 now.

    Cheers.

I know. I'm just not used to doing art for long periods of time. At the moment I do between 5 - 8 hours a day and even on my days off I still put in a good few hours. But to move up to 10 or 12 hrs is a big adjustment. In the past it was more of a hobby and then I went into fulltime call centre work and little art. So this is the most I've done in a long time.

I'll see about squeezing a few hours in tonight to do another self-portrait. Lighting will be different so I need to start it again ideally.

    Thanks.
