Hey everyone, I thought I would put some of my work on here and get some help from you guys
Here is the Start...
Hey guys, so I know it has been sometime since my last post, but im hoping to start putting stuff on here and I would love for your guys comments thanks.
so this is a unfinished painting, but I thought I would get your guys comments on it and what you think I can improve or work on, also this was done from imagination.
Hey guys, here is another painting, I have been working on basic color and drawing fundamentals.
I hope you guys like it. thanks.
alright guys, here is another painting i am working on.
I hope you all like it.
You doing well, just do not stop drawing and draw as much as you possibly can. Try draw more constructive. Look for "planes of head" to find out how to simplify forms. For head I strongly recommend you to get a book "Drawing the head & hands" by Andrew Loomis. Look more for proportion and symmetry. Look at other artists what you like and try to analyze their technique.
But anyway.. Only thing you really need if you want to get better fast is to draw ALOT.
thanks for your reply.
Hey, guys here is a small study I did to see how well I could draw the male with out using refs, I hope you guys like it..

Hey, I'm not exactly the most experience artist but I have some advice I guess. One thing I've noticed with your anatomy studies (probably because I'm going through the same thing) is that they seem really flat in certain places. Like on the female in bikinis torso. A tip that helped me a lot was to remember the skeleton and muscles underneath. So her hip bones would actually be stretching her waist out a bit more and the muscles layered on top would result in it rounding out a bit more. The improvement since you first started is actually pretty notable and cool! Keep it up!
@jmac22 hey, ya anatomy is a tough cookie to eat haha, but I cant thank you enough for your advice I will try to remember that, im still learning anatomy and I hope I can get better, also thank you for the comment it will helps to know I am getting better, haha.
I just want to further emphasize what a few other posters have mentioned already which is to practice a more structural approach to your anatomy. I would probably practice drawing basic polygons (cubes, cylinders, etc) in a 3D space, and then applying those forms to the human figure.
In any case, continuing grinding out work
@Yangdaniel027: thanks for your post and comment, it really helps me out a lot!!
could I ask, do you have any sketches I could see, how to apply the shapes? if you dont thats alright
Here, just some quick examples I could find right off the web.
The site where I found these photos will actually be quite useful for you as well:
Hopefully this helps you out, just try breaking the human figure down into the most basic shapes first and seeing the forms.
Thank you YangDaniel027 for taking the time to search for the awesome material!!
Just keep drawing and you'll continue to make progress
Hey YangDaniel027, thanks so much for your awesome reply man!!!
