I chose Bouguereau because of Rhythm and attractive body motion.
When i see this art, i wondered "Why there is Crescent?"
Now i knew because for Balance. If the Crescent not in there, this art lost balnace.
Line of Female with drapery flying to upside and make our sight goes up but, the Crescent make the sight not goes out of picture.
Water wave and Drapery make Rhythm, Repetition, and variety..and dark cloth of her arm keep the Rhythm of body.

Comments & critique VERY welcome! Thank you!!!

beautiful job. a little bit smoother gradation on the values of the flesh and this one would be aced. try using a lower opacity brush for that kind of thing..soft edged.

keep up the good work. great start to this.

    almost 3h

I chose Sargent because of mood and economy.
so Rough and so Delicate brush touch was very interesting.

In this picture, the little seller is taking a nap.
Space under foot and right side of this picture emphasize the seller's nap.

Sargent Just do capturing the moment a nap and almost detail on it.
but, otherthing all very economy on low detail for emphasize the seller's nap

I chose Sargent because of his ability to capture scene and great economy.
When I saw this in thumbnail shot, i thought it maybe very detailed
but.. haha so i chose this.

nevertheless yet i don't know why this have so reality.
    very economy and well balanced
I feel rhythm at grass and cloud
the dark at her hair and under drapery give balance.

These are very nice. If you can use some more textured brushes to capture the same surface quality/texture from the original painting, these would be even closer to the original in quality. You are very talented. I think by the time you get through these, your digital painting will have improved a lot. Keep trying to match the surfaces as the textures have such a big impact on edge quality and mood. great job with your shapes and values, and edges too.
