A brave knight discovers the foul beast's lair in an ancient and long abandoned sewer.
<<Today, everyone who see a big spiderweb and a wanderer with a spear, understand what's going on. Darkness, fullmoon, torch's light: that was too much clichè. I prefered to clean off all the fake romanticism, and just keep it bright. If it was a game or a film, this would help to change the mood, when you in the lair, facing the enemy>>.

"..A group of people suddenly appeared from the city. At first glance, there were half a dozen, everybody was tall and strong . There were torch in left hand and sword or mace in the right one. The arches closed the squad. The devastating epidemic forced people to leave this part of the city. After a while the group came to the towered cathedral. Despite its age, the building was still breathtaking. The travelers stopped near the entrance arch. Bright torches highlighted thin filaments diverging everywhere on the facade. Gaze of the travelers slid up, bright glare of fire played on black chitin , people downstairs frozen. The commander gave the order to charge gestures arrows. Archers were took to the ring . Everybody prepared to fight."
Here is my final. My pic is showing us a brave mystery man which is trying to get into a spiders liar. The liar is placed in the dark dangerous forest, full of traps, caves and of course spiders and their eggs.
I really enjoyed doing that pic! Good luck everyone.
It was really enjoyable round. Thank you guys! Good luck!
I have change my mind with the final concept. Don't really now why, I guess I was bored with the last one. So there she goes...
Deep in the forest of giant trees lurks an army of super sized spiders. They have made their home within the tops of the trees where they can prey on birds and other creatures that call the trees home. They have also been known to pounce on unsuspecting adventurers who are walking through and pulling them up to their gruesome end.
This is my final, I went to actually change something and ended up liking it as it was so I scrapped it and fixed a few little issues. I'd make a story around this, but I think it conveys the story without me writing anything.
"The Widow's Garden"
During the reign of the Mad King, may subjects were sent to "play in his gardens" for the slightest error. Terrible things lurked within the wooded gardens, and death would be swift to those who entered. The spiders, who had grown fat on human flesh, soon dominated, turning the entire wood into one large, desolate nest, devoid of all other life.
After the fall of the Mad King, several armies have been routed trying to cleanse the horrors from the palace doorstep, so now the kingdom waits for a hero brave or foolhardy enough to try and bring life back to the land.
A traveler stumbles upon an abandoned tunnel once used for transporting storage containers. Ever since he entered the tunnel, he had a weird feeling he's being watched.
The city is deserted. Highways jammed with vehicles from refugees fleeing reports of giant eight legged demons. A military reconnaissance team tasked to investigate, work their way through streets covered in swaths of web, past clutches of what seem to be egg sacs and suspiciously human shaped cocoons to survey the heart of the city. A giant alien dome rises up above downtown, nestled between skyscrapers entombed beneath vast sails of silk. Inside something huge stirs...
People thought that it was abandoned cave, but they were wrong... There are some uninvited guest's inside ...
I need to spend a little more time to end this one , hadn't too much time, i hope its not too late. I just wanted to show it, but I'll finish it tommorow

"Treasure hunters would get lost in those damned caves and cobwebs. We'd send searches in as far as they would dare go, but most of the time found nothing but footprints and burnt out torches. What the hell would a spider do with treasure anyway?"

New World Creation: Designers Wanted – Environment of the Week
The world that these spiders inhabit has long since grown bored of them. They have been studied, dissected and featured in any and all nature publications. Although they are an arachnophobe’s worst nightmare to the rest of the population, especially the locals, these placid arachnids hold no terror.
You are a national park attendant, assigned to the canyon, A tourist spot for hikers and adventure holidayers and the only know place the giant spiders inhabit. Towards the end of the day you hit the trail to make sure the area is clear of tourist, using the opportunity to take pictures.
As you move along you become increasingly uneasy. Although you are yet to fully realise, the spiders are following, their numbers growing. You push forward with you journey uncomfortably conscious that the spiders are continuing theirs’ behind you. worse still, they seem to be deciding the route not you.
So many great entries! GJ everyone.
BlindLynx: Sorry I wasn't able to join, helping with renovation at my parents house and it's very time consuming. (At least I'm doing some plenairs in the countryside!).
I will be joining again in May, hope the attendance remains like that :>
