One of the things that has always fascinated me, was the way pro concept artist show something very unique in the character's Face, and there's something about portraits that you can see how skilled the artist is, almost instantly, from seeing the way he has painted the eyes n bone structure.
I'm an amature and I've been painting and drawing for about 18 month.
I do figure drawings, still life studies and many other works, and this is just part of what I do on a regular basis.
I remember hearing android jones' selfportrait project, and as an admirer, it was an inspiring thing he did. I realised this is it, I've got to do this! and I've got to take what he did to a next level and avoid repeating the exact same thing.
I'd like you to follow me on my spiritual and technical journey, your comments and critiques would be much appreciated.
so here it goes!

I hear you, actually i've got piercings, and I've shaved off my beard so things are going to change, and there are tons of styles and artist that I'm going to explore in my selfies, I'm hoping I won't get crazy over it though...
You are hawt ! You look like you should be a spartan in the movie 300. Also, one of my most favorite video game characters is Dom from Gears of War and you look like him, especially in post 17.
But anyways, I love this whole 1000 portrait thing. It inspires me to paint some faces. It is really fun seeing the effect of different color combinations and styles. Keep going and it will be so bad ass if you actually finish 1000 portraits!
dude, good luck with the project. I barely draw/paint 10 of my selfies in life so far. I am sure it will give you some answers. You will need to experiment a lot with media, styles, technique and there is a chance you'll fall in deep love with yourself
