Hi guys! I've just registered moments ago. I am trying to draw convincing poses from imagination and its tough. Here I drew 3 poses. the first 2 were drawn with a references open and the last one is from my mind. The third one is the one I wish was looking the best. I'm disappointed and I want to improve Name: boxing poses.jpg

I painted more gesture sketches of a boxer, but this time from watching a couple of boxing match videos. From now on if I have to use reference, I want to use video reference or life instead of a picture. Because with a picture I get focused on copying what I see instead of understanding what I'm painting, and watching the boxing match video I learned why the pose was that way, and I can balance out the poses betterName: boxing gestures from motion reference.jpg

boxing gestures from video reference. At first these gestures below were stiff and difficult but as I got familiar with it I started having fun, learning. I already have knowledge of anatomy which helped me draw muscles, and I paid attention for far back or forward the arms and torso are relative to each other, and side the hands and torso are facing Name: boxing gestures from motion reference 2.jpg
