I'm an art student from Finland and I've been drawing as long as I can remember, but before I turned 18 I hit a big block and kinda lost my motivation/joy. I was studying multimedia in career college (mostly graphic/web design and 3D&animation, it was my final year) and I managed to get a bad burn out. This and that happened after I graduated and yeah, I'm now trying to improve and get back into inspired state.

Not promising to be extremely active, yet, will see though, my spring is going to be busy. Especially since our year ends in art exhibition yikes.
For start, I've been trying to do more practice stuff from ref. So some head ones:
I've never drawn dragons I guess : ( Sketched some for fun, so please do tell if these look funny:

Hey! Cool start but first and foremost, welcome to CA! I'm curious, what northern European country are you from?
I know what you mean about the "comparing yourself to everyone else" feeling, been there done that so to speak. That's just something everyone goes through now and then, and if you've experienced it before, you'll have an easier time to snap out of it! It's not a competition, it's an individual journey!
I like your linework, very clean and controlled. Looking forward for more updates!

StephanDraws: thanks :)!
I DIED. but i'm slowly rising from the grave.
some school stuff from this week, i love how well i can see my mistakes, my teacher praises me and then i look at him like HEY HEY THAT HAND MAN. also i hate my teacher because his works are amazing, he always paints and draws with us and i creepily stare at his /sorcery/ all of the time. he makes it look so easy!
i've never used oil paints before, i like them, I THINK.

Hey man! Some of your stuff is very interesting. For example the 3'rd picture on the right in post #6, i really like that one.
What is the last image supposed to be? I imagine two hands picking bacon in the forest!! As if they were plants. You gonna work more on it?

Uiriamu: thanks!! oh that was something i did to kill time today at school. i MIGHT try continuing it, but it's really small/on weird cardboard which devours all the paint! so whoops yes... the fabric looks like bacon.

Great start to your sketchbook. The variety of mediums and styles on show are impressive.
I especially like the pencils in posts #4 and #11, you have a loose yet controlled method to your line work that shows great maturity. I just think you need to transistion that looseness/control into you digital work a little more.
Thanks and keep up the good work.

Mothman&GraphiX: thanks! Yeah I have hard time drawing loosely on computer and on top of that my desk isn't the most ergonomic thing at all. B> hammer, nails and something that works as an armrest.
Color puke! And well, I got maya with free student licence... I'm trying to figure it out with tutorials and I've forgotten everything I have ever learned about it sadly.
