Spartan Camp #295 - 50 gestures + optional "Modified Still Life" Study

Deadline: Sunday the 23rd of February.

In addition to this, participants can choose to do an Optional "Modified Still Life" Study, in any medium.

    Background
I vaguely remember seeing a similar study being done elsewhere but I can no longer find it. Basically the goal was to do a still life study with a little twist. You could draw typical still-life items such as fruit, pots, pans, flowers, glassware, and such, but change their shape slightly. The purpose is to learn how to draw these materials and at the same time construct realistic objects from imagination.

    Exercise
Do a still life study where you add slight alterations. You can add some objects or change the shapes. Make sure the material and lighting stays the same, so that the objects look realistic.

    Reference
I'm trying to find some more similar studies done by others. Will add more.
Example 1; Bit elaborate but a good example. Source;this sketchbook.

This optional looks very interesting! It's usually very useful when I have some reference but I need to do some parts by myself

And it's not something alive, that's good... I totally tried to draw gestures and I failed epically. I even forgot how to draw things resembling dogs. Now my dogs looks like mutant deers (I studied horses and deers and I'm more compatible with deers. I close my eyes and I see lots of deer legs now) and I can't even draw a decent humanoid stick figure. I hope I'm just tired and there will be results as should be
Sorry for the drama, I'm actually happy I _try_ to draw, it's something. And I have some deer gestures On paper so they will come later.

I should show something, right? A bad wip, I just could't draw her face and it's the second version...

shiNIN - I really like her face lol! You might figure out whats wrong when you start working on the rest of the body.

No problem RABIDTOOTH and welcome to Spartan!

It's been a while since I did some longer colour studies so focused on them so far this week. Watercolour portraits and digital photo study. Also horse gestures, so frustrating. Sorry for the bad photos, couldn't get them to a scanner.

I'm so late... And it won't be pretty. I should have draw something instead of wasting my time putting this together, maybe it's an addiction. I will work on it.

I ended up not doing the optional but I really like it and had plans, I will do it later.
I mostly drew with pencil. In a messy way. As always when I try to figure out things instead of just copy it more or less nicely.
Some of my animals got okay though, I have more problems with humans. Maybe drawing animals a lot will help with drawing humans...

I redrew the girl of the Bouguereau painting "Daisies", without colors. That barely smiling little girly face was still hard and I failed to get near to the original expression.

AdrienneRose - I hadn't seen that one yet. Good find! The video pretty much summed up my goal for this optional study.

I'm sorry, there's another, I forgot these pages before.
I tried to make them cleaner with a marker (I love doing that), with mixed results.
