    Good progress. please keep a close eye on your edges, which are what leads to forms reading as well as the atmospheric quality of the light. Compare your background to his and notice the smoother atmosphere and gradients that exist. keep it up!!

    Every time after I finish and wrap it up notice disproportion somewhere! In this image I noticed how I made the face wider than the original!

    then you are noticing the right things. that is very good.

    keep a very close eye on all the sharp and soft and lost and found edges. that will help you get your atmosphere closer.
