These are pretty good. It's good that you like to draw figures. Really focus on learning your anatomy. Learn how to construct the figure using underlying shapes. The better you learn how anatomy works, the better your figures will look. Even if you exaggerate your anatomy, your figures will still be believable.

    good luck,

These are nice and loose, but maybe spend just a litttle more time on them. If you don't attempt dealing with anatomy and perspective, you will never improve in those areas.

thanks for the comments. any specific areas my anatomy needs more work? I hate it when my drawings look out anatomically incorrect and out of proportion, but it seems like I can never tell until much later. I'll draw something that seems fine and then find it a weeks later and think "My god, that looks awful!"

I think they are saying study everything about anatomy.

Here is one way that may help (maybe Emily was trying to say this), don't worry about every detail yet, get some box or cylander man studies (where you turn the individual parts of the body into basic shapes,)first. Just draw the form of the general shapes of the body, and get an idea of the shapes. If you can draw a nice box man that appears to have three dimensions, then you can work into forming the muscle out of the boxes.

I do like your concept subject matter, the not so nice guys seem like they would be fun to follow on a normal day, to see what they do.
