Its' free and it takes less than 10 seconds!
No backgrounds is enforced, please read the first post to see what is accepted... The reason that rule was made was because there were too many poor designs coming in and not enough attention was placed on the character. Everyone wanted to do full illustrations which is not the purpose of ChoW
Spellsword95: This is an awesome dynamic shot, but we should really see his front.
Wow everybody's WIPS are looking great so far! Made some more progress
This looks like fun thought I would give it a try. My first chow, apologies if I break any rules
The drawing so far - Need to make it more street, more underground, more punk. Will tinker about with it or redraw in another pose, an action one probably. Cool ideas so far peeps.
It did just occur to me that the timer could just beep every minute hehe. I'll change it to a GPS police detection projector or vital stat projector.
First WIP ! I hope the background is simple enough
it is bi-weekly, not monthly. It gives plenty of time for those who are slow or who are just very busy and it allows those who are fast and finishes early to jump in on another challenge if they wish.
Heres a quick sketch, nice entries everyone!
here's my second WIP, it's my third coloring/digital painting ever and first so complex, I didn't watch any tutorials yet so it's done by trial and error
suck a little less every day
First time throwing my hat into the ring, been a long time lurker. Here's where I'm at so far with my rough
Going to expand my color palette a bit for this one...
Feeling it out as I go.
Lots of wonderful work in here so far! Keep it up everyone!
Havok Reed: Oh nooo, I screwed it up again. Is there a rule about that or it's your opinion? Anyway, no harm done, I can paint it again and this time properly and better. I tend to focus on things like pose or dynamics and forget about important guidelines. Here is my progress so far:
Spellsword95: Yea, it's under the extended guidelines in another thread. It's kind of hard to be able to post all that information in a summarized version. Again, i think this is bad ass, but you gotta think about presentation of a character design. However, a work around to this rule is if you include a front view with the back.
some lineart. haven't decided if this is what i'll color yet. i might draw another version. anyway i added a hood for anonymity and gave her shock absorbent 'boots' that go on her feet and legs so she doesn't break her bones on hard lands. also have amazing traction on the bottoms.
Started over again. Gonna try and turn her around to see the front. The front has to be visible right? At the moment the right arm on the turn around is too low....I think.
Coloured up. I tried to give it a more edgy, neon light feel but I'm a self confessed amateur when it comes to colour. I only just watched the on demand classes after all! So critiques welcome.
Fireblade - good to see you in the comp - I love you work!
(update) - messed around with the colours a bit - warmed it up. It feels more realistic to me somehow...

Everyone's looking really good so far! Progress.
here is my work in progress for the moment
Spellsword95, legal or not, is an amazing piece man, you should be proud.
lovingit, since you were unsure about the colors and you gave me a good advice in the critiques forums, I tried to return the favor.
Although I don´t think I´ve achieved much of a result and I still like yours better, perhaps it can give you another perspective or anything.
Cool stuff! Here's what I've got so far. This will be it as my work schedule doesn't allow me the opportunity to post in finals threads anymore (I work as a wilderness guide, week long shifts, no internet).
-Gelly shoes to absorb shock and provide comfort and traction
-Classified documents (package) in satchel
-Basic cybernetic arm, result of an injury on the job
-Electronic head band that plugs into her forehead, displays a HUD for GPS, Vitals and other information
Great work everyone! Keep it up!
Here is my latest WIP. I've given him robot monkey feet and a very useful coat tail (pun intended) that actually works as a tail. I was going to try to explain the tech behind the fabric but came up empty, so some suspended disbelief is in order and it still needs a lot of work. I do love the creative variety on this theme though.
