I am not familiar with the book, but I am not at all impressed with the artist's awareness about the anatomy, seeing these samples.

He is using a simplified mannikin instead of a realistic human body. That on its own is not bad. But he is misinterpreting the action of muscles horribly. He isn't even understanding his own diagrams well! See the 3 and 4 on the right, compare the schematic of the muscle to the bulge he drew. And whenever there is bundling up of skin and soft tissue due to flexion, like he is showing in "EXTENSION" on the left and "FLEXION" on the right, he misinterprets that as muscle bundling up! That's much worse than mere misinterpreting the bulge, that's gross lack of awareness of how muscles work. That action of rectus abdominis he drew is unbelievably clueless and wrong.

If I were you, I'd steer clear of that book.

Gonna have to go with arenhaus on this one. Plenty of good reference out there. This is questionable at best with hardly average drawings.
