Hey all! My name is Michelle, I'm 19-years-old and an animation major at Cal State Fullerton. Here's some examples of work I've done in the past couple of months so you can get a feel of where I'm at:
Figure drawings (currently taking my first class this semester, I was so anxious before taking it because I had barely used charcoal before haha). These all range from 10-20 minutes with the hands and feet being homework assignments:
Digital works with photoshop:
Aaaaand sketchbook drawings I'm planning on coloring:
Thanks for viewing!

Wow! Great life studies! Your animation style is very cute and interesting - I especially love your color choice and how well each one tells a story. Very nice!
Hey Michelle, you have a so sweet style, keep working =)
Hi, I'm on my way to be a better artist, please visit my sketchbook and help me with that!
Love your stuff! Great light and mood.
Frozen was insanely gorgeous!! I was pretty much in tears during the introduction and in a particular scene with Elsa. I also hadn't seen a film in 3D in forever until Frozen, so it was pretty mindblowing for me to see how they used it to build on the composition of many shots and not just use it to have things pop out at the audience.
This is basically just a sketch since I made a mistake with the layers, it was just getting too difficult to continue working on it:

Very nice work, you just started and update alot that is a very good thing, I cant see your first bunch of images but maybe thats because Im on a phone, I would say work a bit more on poses and really nice work!
Dennis - Thanks! And haha, the reason you couldn't see my first post is because I was editing it to change the thumbnail for this thread.
zou - Thanks! I'm slowly trying to get used to watercolors
CA won't let me add two videos to one post, so here's my most recent animation test for class:
And the animatic for our final project with the guidelines being to have a character with a set emotion, then have them receive a gift, and then have a change in the character's emotion. We have to turn in the animatic tomorrow, then work on the breakdowns the next week, and turn in the whole animation with the in-betweens as our final. I was only able to get a critique from my professor once last week so I'm still having difficulties with getting the story to read clearly:
The animation I can say is just amazing, it´s funny its fast its super easy to understand. Really good job on that, if your professor gives you a bad grade for that or im not sure if you get grades or points or whatever but that deserves alot!
An A!! And you deserved it. Those gestures are very good, keep doing them even if its just 10minutes everyday. Your last drawing is really nice, I would only make the tire a bit thicker and make the top left area a bit more interesting.
So great ; ___ ; ahh your animation capabilities. Such loveliness.
And your figure life studies. MMmmm
I had actually considered applying this filing period and attending fullerton, but cop'd out at the last moment bahhhh.
Still applied to CSULB(long beach) though. How do you like it at fullerton?
Dennis - Thanks for noticing the tire, I never would have caught that! I always appreciate your feedback and I'll work on that upper left area, it's been bugging me as well.
Pou - Thanks! I'm enjoying Fullerton so far, a large reason for why I'm attending is because of the huge cost differences between that and a private art school. I don't want to go into too much detail about my whole experience here, so feel free to PM if you have any specific questions and I'll be more than happy to answer anything. And I hope you get accepted in to CSULB!
Jr.Molcak - Thanks I will!
Last figure drawings of the semester, not totally satisfied with them.
funny, cute, and awesome style! please feed my eyes again with more works!
