    screenshots on a mac?

    I was wondering if anyone knew how to get screenshots off of a dvd on a mac?

    i use little app. called Snapz Pro X. Looks great

    Long time no mac used, but as far as i remember it was "apple+shift+4"...a crosshair will appear and you can mark a rectangle area to capture...though i am not sure if this will work with your dvd-movies...long time no mac as i said and totally proud of it

    On my apple I have Grab it's in the applications and then utilites. It was already on my Mac so you probably have it. It has many options you can have it timed, just a window, selection and another one. Just look under the capture menu if you have the Grab.

    in os x and in os 9, I believe, "cmd-shift-3" takes a screen shot.

    The tricky part here is the DVD - Apple doesn't allow screen shots of protected material, and sometimes even unprotected stuff doesn't turn out.

    Snapz Pro should do the trick... great new version, also (for screen movies, anyway). They've got a 30-day demo.
