Thanks for stopping by my sketchbook. I see you found Posemaniacs! Keep at that, I try to do those over lunch at work, but sometimes I just can't get to it. I also search up pictures on the internet of interesting poses or scenes from movies and try to draw the figures interacting. I still need lots of work on figures...I normally gravitate toward creatures and environments.

Hey, also if you want some material to read, try these books by Andrew Loomis, they are in pdf format.

    Hey,

Thanks for sharing that link I'm currently studying it to become better at drawing hands since I'm still really bad at that. And I'll definitely check out the other chapters as well thanks a ton!

    Hey yuniken,

Palazzo Madama is a palace in Rome that is the home of the Senate of the Italian Republic. Thanks for commenting, Those figures were all 30 seconds so it's really hard to draw them smoothly. But I'm gonna do a bunch of 5-10 minutes so I'll try to make those as smooth as possible

Thanks for commenting on my sketchbook it was a nice one.
Yeah I would just agree with the rest of everyone saying and work on basic anatomy,
so geometric shapes and chopping that body up!
    Keep at it yeuh!

Hey Dennis, glad to see that you found the links to be helpful, I'm definitely seeing a lot more motion/dynamics in your figures!! Keep at it, it honestly just takes awhile to get used to. Hope your car study turned out well, I can see that adding the borders helped and I see a big contrast your ability to convey the volume in the car between the first and fifth drawing.

Pou, thanks alot. I got alot to learn still but it's good I got alot of time as well. I'm gonna focus mainly on anatomy and poses now, so I hope I can improve with all these excercises. Thanks for your kind comment.

Michelle, Im still working on the car study and I'll try to finish it today or tomorrow and then Ill upload some progress. The link is definitely useful and Im gonna continue to study and practice some different chapters. Thanks for your nice comment as well.

Kinda Finished, I can see alot of things that need altering but I spend a good amount of hours on this and I feel I learned alot. I never picked color from the image and I think the whole thing took around 5 hours or something. Hope some of you kinda like it

Well I'm stupid, I thought you meant with hand study. Like draw from real life with my hands instead of using Photoshop. Don't ask me why I thought that. But anyway, here is the drawing I did from a banana. Guess I should do some actual "hand" studies now

Hi Dennis, thanks for the awesome visit.

Your studies are filled with hard work and determination. It's inspiring to see as you're younger than myself and much more knowledgeable in many aspects. Keep it up my friend. Your car looks amazing .

Dennis, you've been busy! Even with things like 7 hour sessions of chemistry study. Yikes. Well done on your car piece. It would be intimidating for me to tackle a car (Mentally, not physically. Unless it's moving). It might been interesting to do another one in a few weeks or sometime down the line and see how it goes the second time around.

Nacon: Thanks for the comment, it's great to hear that even I can inspire someone a bit.

Grumpysaur: I think you could tackle a car no problem, it just takes time and effort but it's worth it. I like your idea of doing another car in the near future and see how it goes, but I might wait a bit longer than one or two weeks because this took me about 3 nights and I don't want to only draw cars But I wrote it down on my list of things to draw in the near future. And I have indeed been busy, kinda crazy balancing school, friends, going out, work and this forum. But for some reason I love it! I feel like I kinda like being stressed out ( however weird that may sound )

Thanks both for you kind comments, tonights gonna be a looong night and tomorrow I'll regret everything I did ( or drank ) But that wont keep me from drawing my ass of. Thanks again your the best!

No specific time gestures. Using posemaniacs.com

Btw does anyone know how to change my sketchbook thumbnail when using a 100x100 attachment in the first post isn't working?

Edit: More work on the house study, anyone got any suggestions or critiq?

    Thanks america220,

Good to hear I'm improving only when it's just a bit. I've only started this sketchbook month and some back so small improvements are great. Here is an awful page, first time I've ever drawn most of these animals. Never really drew animals, but I wanted still wanted to upload this so I could see my improvements animal wise. I'll definitely do more animal pages because...... well I think this page says it all.

Believe me, your animals are better than mine Thanks for stopping by on my sketchbook. It's nice to see another Dutchie!
Great improvements btw! Your figures are better now, I like that you're not using the really small lines anymore. You should really try to do more fluid lines when you're drawing. Maybe use the side of the pencil in stead of holding it like you're doing when you write...

Go on like you are now and you should be able to draw much better in a short amount of time, keep it up!
Trying to draw every day since Feb 26th 2014.
Crits are always more than welcome!

    Thanks letterbox,

Here is page 4 of no specific timed gestures. First page on which I actually feel like I actually improved. It just went easier and things looked good when I drew them for the first time, I'll continue drawing these but I'm going on holiday day after tomorrow. Skiing and snowboarding for a week!!!!! So I'll draw a few of these pages there probably but I don't think we'll have wifi, so don't expect any updates for a week unless I can get internet connection there. Have a nice christmas and a happy new year to all of you!!
