    New streaming site for Artists only

    Hey guys, so there is a new website that one of our fellow artists created, which is dedicated to artists only. This is great because, even though we already have twitch and live stream and stuff, they are cluttered with gamers. Now we artists can have a place to go to and make it our own. We just need people to join up and actually stream. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or a professional.

    Here is the website https://picarto.tv/live/index.php

    The guy who is making it is in the google hangout with us frequently, so we are able to give him feedback and ideas to improve upon it. Lets not let this opportunity slip by!

    Damn, nice! Thanks Havok. I used both Livestream + Twitch. But with Twitch, it's mostly for games, and livestream is a bit 'meh'. I'll have a looksee.

    from the terms and conditions: Ownership
    You agree that everything you stream may be viewed, copied, altered and used privately by other people. You have no legal rights on your content.

    The stream, is owned by them. As in, since the service is FREE people are allowed to view your stuff and use it for reference, studies, etc. Its not saying the things you make belongs to them.

    Well I was sharing this link with some other artists (some who are seen as professionals) and they pointed this out to me so, they may want to re-phrase their t and c's. "You have no legal rights on your content" implies that the content you make, you don't own. So someone could take the video I made and say sell it as a tutorial or something and I couldnt stop them as I have no rights on the video or "content"

    now compared to livetreaming terms:

    You retain all of your ownership rights in your Produced Content. However, by submitting Produced Content to Livestream, you hereby:

    grant Livestream a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid-up, sub-licensable through multiple tiers and freely transferable license to display, perform, use, reproduce, distribute, publish, create derivative works of, display, perform, sell, edit, and otherwise exploit your Produced Content solely in connection with the Livestream Service and Livestream' (and its successor's) business, including without limitation for promoting and redistributing your Produced Content or part of or all of the Livestream Service (and derivative works thereof) in any media formats, media channels or medium now or hereafter in existence. For the avoidance of doubt, the foregoing license includes, but is not limited to, the right to reproduce, distribute, display, perform, make derivative works from or otherwise exploit your Produced Content in proximity with or in connection with any third party content;

    So with liveatrem you own your content, but you give livestream the o.k. to use your content on their site for promo etc. and use from others.

    And actually after having a look at livetream's t and c's the one on the picarto seems a bit thin.

    Sorry however for pointing it out the way I did. I'm sure your friend is only trying to do good and help with the art community. Maybe have him check out things on the copyright side of things as this is a very important part of producing artwork.

    Hey no worries man. I didnt take offense to your previous comments. You are right though, it definitely needs a more thorough wording in it. When I see him again I will let them know about it.

    Well we changed the Ownsership part of the Terms. Feel free to revisit it and let us know if you find anything that would hurt your copyrights.

    Thank you for all your help and inspiration! We really improve a lot with your help!

    Is there a way for viewers to see previous streams of a channel?
