Mr Baha: thanks for the kind words, and thanks for asking that,, is very unusual get these sort of questions...
im Originally from Colombia! (a beautiful country in South America)
in order to answer your question,
that path was and it's been very exiting and difficult. too many things i had to do and experienced for built the way of my design process.
the fact that:
1. i have to learn 1 or 2 languages different from my mother tongue (spanish) in order to communicate move easier in this media. and try to get a job and been competitive with people with more experience and solid formation in this media. (some people in these industry is indifferent to that, they don't see all the efforts that people from other countries do.)
2. i didn't have a formation in entertainment design, or went to a very well known institution with legendary Hollywood teachers. or live in L.A and get a network or connections. i got formation as a Graphic Designer which im very proud and grateful of learning different ways of solving design problems through creative alternatives. and still making my way trough hard work and sweat.
3. sometimes been away too far from my roots affects my criteria, is always a invaluable experience share with other cultures, but i always remember every single day i look in the mirror where i came from, always.
and other things,, i guess this is a boring post,,,,, but is part of me,,, assuming "Luis" that you speak spanish. but this is another effort of share this process for Latin Americans
oops almost forgot these.
Thanks for the reply!. I asked because I am from Venezuela (yes i do speak spanish) . AND ITS BEEN TOUGH!!. Really tough because we're really far behind on everything when it comes to art or design, especially production art or entertainment design!. No fancy schools no professionals, no teachers, nothing.
I studied a very low level of Illustration but very high level of Graphic Design over here in Venezuela. So I know what you're talking about, its hard and its actually a lot harder than the rest of the people who do have access to those schools. Thanks for sharing your life experience.
ok guys,, as usual i will keep sharing the last stuff from last farm,, to release new stuff and functional info.
cheers and peace!
here is a video tutorial With Feng and Me, hope you like it! thanks
Well nothing to critic on, at least I can't Only one thing I felt whilst watching the video is that ur beast itself is to vague, I think its need more detail. The only thing making clear its a monster and not a mountain is the movement. Maybe some sort of eyes.
I love your work and I love FZDschool if I get the money together I'm thinking about studying there in 2/3 years.
Ma Sketchbook brings all the girls to the forums, damn right its worse than yours.
Really awesome work!
Appreciate you taking the time to post some process shots
jaw dropping stuff!all of them are amazing!!!!
