I think this might be the best place to go searching to see if I have anyone who has quite the same reaction to music with visualizations.

Obviously, people imagine things with along with music. But, with me, I see the most gorgeous settings in my mind's eye that I don't have the technique to bring out. That's why I got into this in the first place. It's probably the most pleasurable thing I can think of (I think it does edge out orgasm, personally).

It's typically impressionistic and modern pieces, with their unusual timbers and "mysterious" (the word doesn't do the effect justice) melodies.

I even made a playlist of pieces that have this effect.

Usually composers that do this to me are Ravel, Debussy, Shostakovich, Rachmaninoff and a few others who I can't immediately think of.

It also makes me want to get into composition.
