    Nicetti's Sketchbook

Hello everyone, thanks for dropping by.

Firstly I would like to say how impressed I am by some of the work here, really inspiring.
My drawings are still pretty basic but after seeing how some of the artists here have improved, in no small part by frequently posting their work and getting great critique, I have decided to have a go too!

I have recently started to ink my pencil drawings so you will see a lot of that here. Most of these were done using a reference.

Self portrait. It doesn't really look like me(I hope!) but I will get there in the end!

    Hi,

I like your anatomy studys so far. I would recomend you to do some gesture drawings (1 or 2min drawings of a pose).
I feel like the eyes in your portrait are a little bit too big.

    Greetings Knork

This is a superb start for a promising talent and sketchbook.
Now before the fans are start to line up, give us more and more
and more. Draw like a wind in a hollow corridor, paint like a madman
after an ice shower. Anatomy is a nice way to start, also don’t forget
to draw from life and from photo references. If you have a chance go
to a life drawing classes, find a model female preferably, ask her
if she would pose naked for you, if not that’s ok also.
Check out some books, like Loomis, Bridgeman, Michael Hampton
    and you will feel regenerated.
You just keep on hammering the smashed potatoes.

Knork - thanks for the advice!

LtPlissken - Thanks for the post. I know of and own books by Loomis and a Bridgeman, always a very good read. I will look up Michael Hampton.

Here are todays sketches. I had a few attempts at drawing some quick poses, the results weren't great but I will still post what I did.

Below are todays sketches. I have been reading Michael Hampton's book, recommended by LtPlissken, very helpful! I still need to practice massively but at least it's helping me to concentrate on the correct things to practice.

I have also drawn two horse skulls, a larger more finished one and a smaller one below it to help me to understand it's construction.

Mostly drawing in my sketchbook from memory today, just trying to practice drawing without using a reference.

The digital drawing isn't finished yet. I will use a reference to make it more accurate and learn where I'm going wrong.

A rough sketch I did today while waiting for my college teacher to arrive, I was early and bored!
