    Lepidoptera and the Frog

This is a digital and oil painting hybrid. I scanned an abandoned oil painting I did years ago, brought it into Photoshop and removed a chipmunk from the log and added a digitally painted sprite. The original oil was reworked in PS throughout.

    dpaint – Thanks.

Here are some oils, painted over 10 years ago, just before my digital conversion. My goal now is to get back into oils with a looser technique.

    Chickens – 2000

Inspiration for the gull was this photo of a gull I shot on a wall waiting for a feeding opportunity at the Philadelphia zoo.

    Alpha Pair – 1998
The background was softened in PS on this one.

The inspiration for the eagle portrait was from this bad candid photo I shot at a zoo of a rescued eagle with flight inhibiting permanent wing damage.

Hey Bill, Good to see you setting up a finally finished thread. It's about bloody time! Lol.

Love the colours and sky in the first one. In fact, I love your colours throughout but I might already have mentioned that elsewhere. Oops.

Fantastic work as always. Thanks for sharing and I hope you post more new stuff soon.
