@Jamesy : Thanks dude, its about time I do this CA thing, btw its really nice to see you still drawing and painting.
@Laurelineparis : Thanks! To answer most of your questions you can check out my blog there are many post with example of process work. As for photos I use them for reference and inspiration when doing something like studying (landscape, portrait, clouds, ect.) Giving myself a theme is only a fun way to make the study or practice a bit more interesting. I can post some example of the process work in the early future.

Hey man, cool stuff! I like those enviros and these sharks in ur last post!
One little thing; watch out where you put your vanishing point if u set up a ppt grid. If you put them close to w/e you're drawing, it gives a warped impression (if ur doing 2 points perspective that is..as the last pic in post #2)
It only really works when you're drawing huge buildings, so sometimes its better to put them out of your canvas.

Hey thank you for the kind words and your feedback! I will keep that in mind next time when working with one two and three point perspective.

Hey I started this sunset sketch and had so much fun doing it I decided to clean it up a bit to show some process work on this post.

I started playing with some values, composition and mood. My idea was two riders arriving to the scene.

Once I got something working for me I started to place color(help me refine the mood)

Size: 27.6 KB
My idea began to refine it self, two medieval riders arriving at a large lake. Added a moon and a shooting star to bring the third interest into the scene.

I decided that it would make more sense if the two medieval riders were returning to a castle to possibly deliver a urgent message or returning from a crusade.

Final touches, mainly value check and complete.

Hey I found some time to do some Notan exercise. Notan is a Japanese word meaning dark and light harmony.
