    Back to the drawing board...

After many years I am returning to drawing/comic books and I decided I would post some pics and get some informed opinions on my work. I am just sketching on 8 1/2 X 11 Xerox paper right now, but will be drawing some more finalized work on comic boards soon too. Take a look and let me know what you think

First off, we have some space action sketches with Quasar and Nova Name: Marvel sketch 0001 small.jpg

Then I drew a little FF action

Then a bit of DC and random fun

I'll update this post often, so come back and let me know how well I am progressing

I wish I had your patience in drawing all of those little things like the body definition, the flames, electricity, etc. I kind of feel like it must have been therapeutic for you to sit and do those things so it calms me down just looking at them, hahaha. Cool stuff! Tons of energy. Tons of movement and anatomical goodness. Keep it up!

I always like to see drawings with much details, to me it means how much patience and effort the artist put in the drawing, keep up the awesome work!

Really cool sketches, great detail, poses and super clean rendering. Those last couple inked sketches would look badass as tattoos. One thing you could do to take them to the next level would be to add more solid black for heavy comic book style contrast or differentiate elements a little better because some of them have alot and it gets distracting.

Anyways great stuff, thanks for sharing and for the inspiration.

Yeah, you are so right about the darker inking. I am a novice inker at best and seem to gravitate to pencils so I leave out shadows allot. I want to learn to be a penciler more like Joe Madureira and work far more shadowing into my work.

Thanks for the comments guys and keep drawing!

I have been struggling with the basics after getting back into drawing so here's some basic stuff I've been sketching to loosen the pencil arm a bit...

Thanks, I try to detail as much as possible without losing the underlining structure. I have allot of work to do when it comes to shading, but for now I am just trying to learn to sculpt the pics right and get back into the swing of things. I hope to work in the comics field and need as much practice as I can get.
Thanks again for the kind words
