Cadre Sketchbook... and more from the Cornerstone Creative Studios

I'd like to introduce myself to those that don't know me... my name is Jesse "Cadre" Hansen.
I've been published in over 30 comic books, magazines and periodicals, including Cracked Magazine.

Primarily an inker, I've done everything in the industry except write.

Here's some samples of my work as an inker... in which I'm currently looking for more work to add to my credentials... ready for work with ink in hand.

Wow dude, badass stuff. I really love the Batman image, and the guy with the sword is great, the composition has been nailed! Really impressive! You must have some amount of work saved up right? Can't wait to see more. Also congratulations on your success, I think it's a dream for all of us to have our work published to such an extent, great inspiration.

Thanks, I wouldn't go so far as all that, always looking for that next big thig... we're currently developing our own universe and thus will have our own titles coming out as well... I'll be srue to post more... ya know what, in fact, here comes something we just finished... the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in respect to the new movie... no comment on the movie as haven't seen it and probably won't until redbox anyway... lol... but gotta love the turtles anyway... so we did four separate pieces for prints, all are done now... here ya go, hope ya like.

Hey man, when you're doing your pencils, like in the first image, what paper and pencils do you use?

As noted in the post, that particular piece was pencilled by Joseph Arnold, another studio mate of mine... that being said, we typically will use a non-photo blue lead with mechanical pencil on bristol board... that's pretty typical for most comic artists these days... OR just using a good ol regular pencil if you prefer, because when it's scanned, it can be converted to blue prior to printing out for the inks.

almost to a certain goal.. still time to get your commission requests in at the HALF PRICE special rates folks... for those interested, here's my portfolio link outside of fb... (mainly because had so many requests...)
I've been surprised at how many individuals are surprised at our normal rates from the studio member, stating that they thought they'd never be able to afford us. I'm flattered of course but also hoping to enlighten people that the CCS is about helping others achieve their dreams at the same time.

the best thing to do is work from life, practice practice and more practice... I know it sounds cliche... but facts are facts, no matter who you ask or how many times you ask. I find that referencing life is the best lesson, for comic work you take that stuff from life and magnify it... using perspective, forced perspective, dynamic foreshortening, whatever you need to do in order to achieve your goal.

Books I like are all the Burne Hogarth Dynamic series to start with... then just branch out and search for the books that you want to focus on.. I've got a library in which now days you can probably find most online or somewhere other than hard copies... lol... boy, the times change.

Trying something a bit different.. I'm currently inking up a few pieces which will be part of the Spawn contest... this is one of them drawn by Savy Lim.

Now, here's the twist... you can own the inked version upon completion and by doing that, simply send me a message via email with a closed bid.

This way, your bid is unknown to the public but sent directly to me at cornerstonecreativestudios@gmail.com

Cadre Sketchbook... and more from the Cornerstone Creative Studios

What you would win with your bid... 11x17 on board, signed by the inker (me) and with arrangements, possibly even Savy.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and good luck. I look forward to hearing from you... also be sure to check me out on facebook where I'll be posting updates to this piece as I wrap it up, once it's done, it will be made ready to ship!

may go back in and drop a few more shadows and darks in before letting it go, but we'll see...

If you're interested or know anyone interested in this piece, by all means would love to find it a good home.

Also, I'll even sweeten the pot... IF someone is REFERRED to this and is the high bidder, the person that did the referring will get an additional 25% off any commission of their choice.

    Call it an incentive program.

    Happy Easter everyone!

I'd like to both celebrate the holiday with a few phenomenal offers/deals!

    ********
I am looking for a book to slap my inks on, so if you're in need of an inker, I'm your guy and I'm in a position to make a deal happen NOW.
    ********
    EASTER ONLY SPECIAL:
Digital Sketch of your favorite character: $10
Original Sketch of your favorite character: $20

    Inked: add $10

Any original desired to be shipped, simply add shipping costs to the total.

Prerequisites for this deal: reference to the version you like best if there are multiple, my choice of poses etc...
    *********

I have other clients already in line and am working to finish those as we speak, yours would come in and be right behind those. I would keep you informed as they go... if it's the quick digital sketch then I can knock those out asap for you.

If you would like something unique and to your specifications, then we can work a half off special deal this week only.

Examples of my work can be found in my gallery area or simply message me for more... most groups don't encourage people to hotlink or send people outside their pages and I'm respecting that. Only posting some recent commissions done here.

ATTENTION: SPECIAL KICKSTARTER OR OTHER CROWD FUNDERS

If you have a book you would like to get done but need to use a Crowd Funding option to fully produce the book, we're here to help there as well. Right now, I'm offering my services for only HALF UP FRONT RATES prior to the campaign and the other half due upon successful campaign with normal rates applying for funded campaign.

As for our studio, we can offer you any and all services you may require to help your dream become a reality!

Contact me asap for the best deals.

Again, Happy Easter and be blessed this day forward!

We're venturing to a new avenue of excitement and due to many of our own interior artists busy, we're looking to add potential new blood in the form of 3d artist specialists.

We want to see what you have in store for the world to see along with what your normal rates would be.

    Please submit to : submissions@cornerstonecreativestudios.com

This is just one of the characters we would be having the chosen potential members working up.

More where this came from... I'm currently working on the colored version of him now which you can see.
