    Lucky 13 Webinar

Corel has started sending out the announcement for a webinar which looks to be the unveiling of the new version of Corel Painter. Here is a link to the announcement.

How many of our wish list features do you think will be incorporated into the new version? I'm going to say no more than two, with one being ruler/guides like Art Rage.

There better be more focus on Performance/Stability and UI than on new features. New features are nice but Painter needs to be a bit more stable and quicker still.

The screen drawing speed was so slow in Painter 12, even after I updated everything a million times because Corel couldn't just pack all the updates in a single SP. I also checked the memory usage and it never used more than 600MB, definitely less than 1GB, I seriously doubt it's using all the memory.

Painter 13 is so far a lot faster than 12 so far as I can tell. I can actually use fairly large brushes with very little slow down. Loads a lot faster as well. Needless to say the workflow has been improved a bit but they could have probably done a bit more.
