Congrats to CassandreBolan for winning the alien rock star EOW.

Post your final entries in the Final Burning thread which I will post in a week or so. Good luck!

Whoo, I makes a difference! Thanks for using it, Vulgar.

I am a little stumped for what to do. (Oh, the irony!) I have several ideas along that vein, but I'm not sure how strong they are in actually spearheading the topic. haha

Check out post #18 in the inspiration thread linked by Nemome in our inspiration thread. The first link in post 18 has trees absorbing houses, iron bars, park benches, etc. Thought it was relevant to this topic.

Actually you need to find Environments Outdoors/Nature to find the thread under Nemome's link.

not really alot of conflict in this one I know, topic made me think of conquistadores though for some reason. May go in a completely different direction.

I was think of adding a shipwreck or something in that direction

Nice start incinerated, I like the idea, composition and colours. The guys look far too organised and relaxed if they've been washed up from the shipwreak. Actually are they connected to it or is the ship from a previous attempt at colonisation? If it is maybe some native / tribal "stay away" graffiti could be scattered around?

Here is my start. I was thinking Reign of fire esque... military vehicle being chased by dragon through a valley.... wooosh.

inspired by la tourette here I guess.

Manmade entity to protect man, showing the patina from forces of nature, and the protection it provides.

Dayle, The dragon currently looks more like a bird in the foreground.. which to me is a really good thing. The point is not too literal, but still there, also the composition would seem to me a bit more interesting if it would be this way. looking good!

more of the same... I think the more calm view works best though.. so I think I'll keep that

    Looking good everyone.
I've been drawing like a mad man and figured it was about time to try another EOW

I decided to go with a dystopian future in which modern antibiotics are no longer effective against increasingly hostile strains of bacteria. As a result humanity is forced to live on massive space stations orbiting the earth, returning like strangers to their once great cities in search of valuable materials.

Lakka - thanks for the idea. I am not good enough to pull that off just yet, but yeah would be interesting to play with the depth like that. Yes, my reference is an eagle but will be a dragon when I'm done! I like your first image best, has an eire quality about it. I think you could work on the architecture a bit more, have a look at Craig Ellwood, he was a great architect and worked with minimal structures in wild settings.

Here is an update on mine, this will be a challenge with the focus, depth and perspective. I need to use contrast and edges well if I'm going to sell the idea.

Elwood is nice. Hes more Mies style though. I feel Like oldschool brutalism serves the topic best, le corbusier type stuff. Check out la tourette by corbusier. The building is kind of ugly, but the archaic qualities are really nice in such surroundings

The atmosphere in yours in starting to look very nice!
