I stumbled upon this book on amazon
The title seems a bit...suspicious
Yeps, the title looks suspicuous: in 30 days you can learn the basics of the basics of the basics. The approach taken seems to be to teach how to draw basic shapes, like cubes, cilinders, and to use these to construct whatever you want. This is a useful approach, but there is so much more to learn, that it is a bit silly to suggest this is a complete guide. The book suggests you can learn to draw the human face in one day: forget about it! Don't waste your time and money on this!
Grinnikend door het leven...
Just looking at the chapters I think the the general approach is quite good, but I think there are way better books that cover the same topics, just better.
When I look at the single chapter for drawing the human face, then only one thing comes to my mind:
In the last chapter he screws everything that he taught in the previous chapters with showing you how to draw the face without thinking about the forms and planes, lol.
Thank you guys for your help. Yeah I'm struggling right now, mostly with just getting the patience to slow my hand down and draw slowly until it becomes natural.
The voices keep coming in my head telling me "what if you'll never get good at this." I've been managing to just tell them "Then I'll practice it until I die."
