recommended books on composition or purely for design?

I would like some recommendations on books or websites that goes more in depth on composition or design, if possible maybe more focused on character/creature design. I did read up a few things on basic composition, but I only understand how to to use it on still life type drawings.
I have tried reading some of the composition books from this place, but their stuff is in some old fashion english, i can hardly understand what I read. http://forums.conceptart.org/showthr...1#.UVrV9Fe8EcY

+1 to Framed Ink. One of the Loomis books has some good stuff on composition... Creative Illustration, I think?

I agree that Framed Ink is good.

If you want a more basic, from the ground up, approach to composition, try "Visual Literacy" by Wilde.
