Its' free and it takes less than 10 seconds!
The workshop is going to be an amazing event so we have a redirection for it right now. But you can easily access the forums from there as well.
If you want to stay updated regarding this site when it's down, then our facebook group is the way to go:
A new bunch of people is now also featured in the banner!
Go and check their awesome art - it's totally worth it.
If you want to get into the header as well, then just start (or keep) posting crazy good art and perhaps you'll be chosen within the next few weeks?
Same here. Checked it several times and got redirected to the workshop page and thought the forums are not up yet, just noticed the forum link today.
Just an FYI, this site is still listed as malicious content. Some of us posted (used to) at work at the net security is medium/high. Blocks the site.

http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...d.php?t=192127"Everything must serve the idea. The means used to convey the idea should be the simplest and clear. Just what is required. No extra images. To me this is a universal principle of art. Saying as much as possible with a minimum of means."-John Huston, Director
Not sure if this has been addressed already, but I still have a hard time uploading images. They look like they're uploading, but they never show up in my attachment manager.
Check out my sketchbook! Socially acceptable opportunity to yell at a teenage girl!
I have the same issue whenever I scan my images in a certain format. CA just doesn't upload it..period. I had to drop it into photobucket and link that to the forum post. What a drag. Makes you almost not want to post anything.
The uploader is still being worked on. It doesn't like small pictures under 100kb all the time for some unknown (as yet) reason. The problem is being addressed.
Oddly enough the forums changing over was what allowed me to start posting at work again.
I really hope there isn't more malware as that was the original reason that I kinda stopped visiting CA. I had no choice in the matter!
when the site was hacked it was blocked at my work too. I contacted our anti virus program directly when the problem was fixed to ask them to re-evaluate the site. Trend Mirco did, and it was unlabelled as malicious.
Well, whaddya know. But it's kind of counterintuitive to look for the forum link on the workshop page, I think. And I bet there are more people than me who are wondering why they can't access the site.
Thanks for all the help Jason, and all the upgrades to the site.
Not knowing what a viral viewer was, my curiosity lead me to check it out. It's a neat idea! Posted a piece to help test it out. One thing I noticed when submitting (I know it's in beta so ignore if you're aware of this) is the right column for the submission form cuts off at the "Giving Credit" box. The last line I can read is "have a web link for, post that too! You may". Possibly due to my monitor's lower resolution (1440 x 900). It would be good to add a scroll bar there if there's additional information to fill out below that box.Originally Posted by Jason ManleyWe put up a viral viewer for you to toy with and share work on http://gallery.conceptart.org is the link. We will open it up more once we finish up the basics here and complete beta testing with it. Then comes the tools and features. If you want to help make things better, please do post work so we can watch for error messages and make adjustments too. That includes here on the forums. That would be super helpful.
Keep up the updates! It's good to see this place up and running again.
Edit: Just editing to add that I like the new design. I could not read the font before without upscalling the site several times, now I can read it at its default setting. Feels less cramp too and more modern.
I can only hope the site gets back on its feet. The site is awesome, but with all the things that have happened in the past 1 year, I just dont know will pan out for the site. 1 year ago over 15k people on the site, but now. Saddens me.
Stop relying on the past mate.
It's time for new things and we get this thing going again.
This won't work if we only think about how it was a few years ago.
Get your account ready, set up an avatar, open a sketchbook, put a link into your signature and enjoy an awesome growing community.
Even without 15k people, we still had an great community before this downtime. I don't think this will ever change.
Might be best if this place doesn't have 15K people. Uploading anything to a sketchbook (which is mostly likely still a pain the ass) still means that within 15 seconds its on page 10 again because so many people upload.
Not to mention, the site went from good critiques (HONEST critiques) to "I've seen soooo much improvement" and "You're getting better".. What artists who want to grow need is "Here's a few things wrong, here's a few things right".
I haven't uploaded anything to my sketchbook, mostly because up until recently I wasn't doing any artwork. Been looking up comic art like crazy lately and trying to master the style. I have one or two things to upload. We'll see if I still have to click through 10 drop down menu's to get the exact keywords and type up descriptions.
Doctors heal you, Artists immortalize you.
"Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach" - bullshit.
The usual staples for anatomy:
I think staying with the times and keeping abreast of website trends was a good move. I began to see this website as outdated and an eye-sore. The only good thing was the artwork and information. Looking good so far, just stop with all the downtime already!
