    ROUND #295 – Generator

    topic:

    ROUND#295: Generator

Sources of renewable energy are an important issue today, and will continue to be in the future. But in the fictional world that I just made up (and, to a lesser degree, in Pokemon) this isn't so much of a problem. See, in this fictional world, the rights and freedoms of one particular creature have been wholeheartedly case aside because they provide such an efficient source of energy, that they now produce most of the energy required for that society. This creature so efficiently converts food into either: heat, electrical or kinetic energy that a battery of these creatures can provide enough energy for an entire city. Your job this week is to design this creature. Make sure to make it fairly clear what form of energy the creature is generating, and feel free to get creative in the way it does generate it. As an added challenge, feel free to design the mechanical device the creature is hooked up to that converts it's output into power that we can use.

    Round Requirements:
    - The creature must generate heat, kinetic or electrical energy in large amounts through its own biology.
    - The creature is used by humans to generate energy for their power grids.
    - Feel free to design the device that is used in tandem with the creature to convert and/or harness this energy.

    Deadline:

    April 30th, 7:00pm PST (GMT -8 )

Vibration Energy Beast. Get's his large mass vibrating (kind of like shivering) Once a day he is set on a kind of re-enforced scale connected to magnets and springs that convert his motion into electricity. (I don't fully understand it, but I looked it up on the internet, so it must work?)

Just letting you guys know I will be a little late putting up the poll as I'm about to get on a plane at the moment. The poll should be going up about 1-2 hours later than it states. If you need the extra hour, enjoy it, otherwise thank you for your patience. The new topic should be arriving around the same time. Cheers!
