    head and faces

    Hi everyone,
I am trying to get better at face drawing, I have George Bridgman's guide to faces. I have also looked at numerous tips and guides online about where to put underdrawing lines, proportions of eyes and locations of features relative to each other. I also try to think of the face as a geometric 3d object with everything having depth and shape etc...

I'm better at faces than I was but I'm still nowhere near comfortable with them. I have alot of trouble especially when I'm not drawing from reference.

I am looking for critique and help in how to learn to draw faces. What am I doing wrong? What am I doing right?

    Thank you all!

Before you even attempt the features of the face, I advise you get down basic construction of the head first. A good book (and free pdf online)to study is Andrew Loomis: Drawing the Head and Hands.

The effort and clear determination is awesome! Keep going!

Awesome! Thank you so much. I just found the PDF and downloaded it. It looks like a very good resource.
As an update I found some resources online (mostly Deviant art) and started using their tips. I drew another couple faces on paper which I'll upload once I have a scanner. For now here's one I did on my girlfriend's tablet.
