These topics are great. I think I like the 1st and last ideas the best so I'll work on those for now.

Working on it. I always start these and never get anywhere with them. There seems to be a discouraging period of self doubt halfway through every painting. I need to learn to push through it.

    Some questions:

For the layout, does 2 page spread mean (8.5 x 11) x 2, or a different page size?
Also, should the composition utilize the full two pages or should it be a portion of
the overall 2 page layout such as (8.5 x 6) x 2; so as to allow for article text below
    the composition?

Is this illustration actually for publication in a magazine or is that statement a
descriptive tool to conceptually frame the direction of composition? If it literally
is intended for publication, what publishing rights are being agreed to and what
    is the proposed compensation?

The size is 17x11 (or 42x297 if you want to use ISO). You can choose to allocate space for text or just make it a full two-page spread.

This is not for actual publication, it's just for practice.

Been trying to post all week but the site has either been down or I couldn't attach image.
Whatever are the bugs in this new server I hope they get ironed out soon. Ever since they took the site down to do some upgrades its been shite.
Don't know if I'll have time to do any major changes but this is the idea I had. A sort of broadsheet steampunk advert.
Been wanting to incorporate more words into my images. This seemed like a good time to try.

The most beautiful thing we can experience is the
mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all
science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who
can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe,
is as good as dead: his eyes are closed.

It says there was a database error and my post isn't showing up, but it won't let me post my image again because its a duplicate of a previous post??

Can anyone see a previous post by me? I don't know if it will show up or not.

    Damn it.
