sketchbook improvements progress
Hi guys my name is Andre.
This thread will be dedicated to improve my work and please feel free to help me out and critic my work.
First thing is I'm not sure where to start my studies because I've done much different things and my focused is always studying anatomy.I'm a sort of guy that if I have to use references to draw then I'm not really that good so I always did draw from imagination beside the realistic stuff. We all should be able to draw from imagination no?I know obviously before we can do that we must learn from real life.I've heard that frank frazetta always drew from imagination.I keep drawing every day and I'm lacking in many different subjects and I've been drawing for too long to get to my skills today. It feels like I should have been much better today specially for the time invested into drawing.I'm 29 and it feels like I'm getting way to old to become a decent concept artist and I fall way behind compare others. To me it doesn't make sense for the years I put into this but I truly believe I can get there no doubt and start freelancing as a illustrator.I always did traditional realism/hyperrealism but I'm trying to change this to concept art.
I have a lot of patience and decent art skills but please I would want to get to the next level for this.So anything you can give to help please do.
The training I have done was Riven Pheonix "human structure" a couple months ago which really help me out on that part.I went through the 190 course within 2 months.I was very dedicated. If I know where to go for studies and I know its worth it in return worth my time I would be much more focus.
Maybe you guys could guide me through this by starting reviewing my work and tell me what are my weak points and what you suggest me to do.I know this place is great for this community.
alright this is my work done so far http://skrob.deviantart.com/

man.this is not even funny lol(first time i used posemaniacs.I'm so use to create stuff slow that it became a bad habit specially for this kind of stuff.I did a couple of them 30 seconds each and was having a lot of trouble getting basic lines down but at the end I was starting to get the little better at it.
Should I put more seconds instead of 30 or keep the 30 and try to get use to it?also would you guys have good pointers how gestures process?anything would help
I believe this was my first
