    Falcom Games

I don't know if anyone here is familiar with Falcom, but I was wondering what people thought about their games. Namely Ys, Dragon Slayer (Including Romancia, Legacy of the Wizard, Xanadu, and Sorcerian), and Brandish. I thought they would be something that people here could look into.

Is there a place I can download any of them for cheap or free (legally of course). I need to give JRPGs a chance. It's kind of hard for me though 'cause they are so unappealing to me. But I still need to see what the fuss is about.

Well, I don't know any one site on the top of my head to be honest with you.

That anime-style artwork has a special place in my heart, especially the backgrounds.

Depends on what your definition of cheap is. You can find information on how to purchase the legacy Ys games from the developer here: http://www.ysutopia.net/forums/index.php?topic=10.0 (this forum also has info regarding patching these games with their english translations).

You can also check STEAM for some modern remakes: http://store.steampowered.com/app/223810

Your best bet is to buy a Nintendo DS and have a go at the plethora of RPGs for it. Being a japanese console, it has a huge catalogue of JRPG.
