    New Cover Illustrations

I've got two new illustrations that I've just been given permission to post.

"Retirement" - a super soldier of the scifi future in the years after all of the epic wars have already been fought. He is adjusting to a life that he was never designed for.

"New Beginning" - an astronaut brings an egg to a new world where an extinct race might have a new beginning.

I'd love to hear what you think - comments are most welcome. Thanks for looking!

    All done with Photoshop CS6

Thanks for comments everyone. I submitted these two and a few others to Exposé 11 over the weekend. The competition is always extremely stiff for books like that, but who knows, maybe I'll get lucky

I appreciate the kind words nonetheless.

Class! Really like them both. Great how the first is full of desolation and regret and the second so full of life and hope. Impressed.

Hey thanks very much. You know, I didn't really give much thought to how these two images would relate to one another (just wanted to post the two most recently finished works), but you have an interesting point. Glad I posted the more hopeful one second so that everyone doesn't walk away depressed

    Thanks for the feedback

They're both really good and like others I love the contrast between them. For some reason I get a little bit of a Norman Rockwell vibe off the first cover, it's the expressiveness you've captured and the colour tones that do that I think.
