Aspiring comic book artists!

Get yourself some professional credits and be part of a new comic book series!

Heavy House
is a comic book about the NYPD's gruesome 74th precinct in Brownsville, Brooklyn -- the most violent neighborhood in the city.

The series is based on the actual experiences of an NYPD cop. These are crime stories with a darkly comedic edge.

It will begin as a web comic, showcasing short stories of about 8 pages in length. Four scripts have already been written; three more will be written in the next three months. A script for a full-length first issue is also ready to go when the series gets off the ground.

The plan is to have three stories online by the time New York City Comic Con rolls around in October of 2013. Promotion will be done through social media and in person at the con.

Now the best partů there is money involved. You will be paid FAIR VALUE for your artwork, agreed to and contracted prior to the commencement of the project.

BUT you must be a committed professional, able to meet deadlines and turn in quality work. We are looking in particular for someone who can do pencils and inks, who can draw realistic settings and characters but with a macabre and surreal edge. Can you channel your inner Guy Davis? We want to hear from you!

If you are interested, and are ready to make the commitment to a serious freelance project, email the address below and include a link to your portfolio.

Looking forward to working with you!
