Human Figure Study - Critique Requested
I'm looking for some honest feedback about anything on these sketches. I haven't drawn realistic figures for a couple years, and I'm only getting back into it. These are all timed sketches.
All poses are from http://artists.pixelovely.com/.

I think these are all pretty solid for sketches. Good for a sketchbook thread.
I use pixel-lovely some times too, but don't over use it. It goes in a cycle and shows you the same poses over and over so you end up memorizing the suckers.

Try focusing more on gesture, rhythm, and construction when you do short poses like this. I see you focusing more on directly copying the outlines of shapes (which is good for longer poses) but for short studies like these its important to capture gesture with quick lines. Practice achieving long lines (legs, arms, torso, etc) in single strokes. Also, for short poses, don't spend too much time trying to get tiny face details like nostrils and stuff. A simple line indicating eye level or the bottom of the nose plane is usually enough to convey which direction the head is facing. So far though, these are pretty good- just watch your head proportion
