Its' free and it takes less than 10 seconds!
Ugh the sketchbook and pencil are not my friend right now, I do not have the mileage necessary. This is the work I've done for the past 3 days... I'm really just trying to power through the newbie period and get my arm to respond (There are Peter Han things in there which is why lines are traced over 8-10 times). I am holding the pencil at 90 degrees the best I can and not using my wrist at all for line work... This is stressful, frustrating and HARD but like hell if Imma take another 8 year break from drawing to lose whatever little progress I made... I just want my arm to respond to what my head knows...
(EDIT: Attachmetns weren't showing so I removed them)

Todays exercises and finished mixtape... Megacon got me off my practice... but I learned some things there and been working on the more paintly feel that Sinix keeps pushing. Also tried some of the Silhouette into characters from a forum I saw (sry I dunno the reference...)
Giving this a try... and keeping it quick... ref Attached.
Two More Attempts.
Character: Not Referenced (folds really messed up)
Sorta Rushed to finish this one for a band's CD Launch Party (42x22in full size print)
The values on the Right eye are WAY botched, but I didn't have the courage to fix them... just kept it quick... composition needed a bit of work but got to stuck to deal with it. Ok with the colors... could of been a bit more cohesive, kept it raw and fast, trying not to over detail (that was hard to not do).
Used photo reference
Painting a lot today, just another quick one... trying to do these fast and get in some studies in.
I usually post my last page of digital sketching considering I delete pages to not get attached or obsess over presentation and/or detail.
hmmmm... small improvements.
Great sketchbook, really love the piggie, but like you noticed yourself keep practicing them anatomy studies.
Keep them post coming!
See my latest Sketchbook work!
Feel Free to comment!
Been sketching ALL fucking day and something came out right... SO PLEASED!!! SO FUCKING PLEASED.. I dont even care... Im fucking happy...
Man.... Traditional is rough and tough like leather...
Ink, Marker and Pen exercises were the most frustrating things on the PLANET
I need to do more reference studies... and really hammer anatomy out.. trying to memorize it is only getting me so far...
i think you could use some tracing to get those contours and forms into your head and then do them free hand, as i see you have a bit of a problem with proportion and general balance, trace some of this drawings http://www.figuredrawing.info/anatomy/ or try to copy them as closely ad you can but really feel how they interconnect hampton is a master of construction and it really shows in all of his work, good luck!

I really liked the contrast Jimmy Yen piece. Studied this pick for ideas on the piece you commented on. I like the stark colour blends...a technique I struggle with.
mmm... There are issues all over these peices, but I work em out as I go along and fix as I hit the next stages.
Im incapable of finishing anything...
Well I hope you can see what I TRIED to accomplish here...
Maybe this is better?
I keep trying to fix the values!!!
More studies.. need to do more...
gestures earlier today are loosening me up a bit.. still not good but its getting better..
mmmm I think maybe this is getting a bit better from imagination.. need to work them studies...
