    Smile Need advice: Landscape W.I.P

    I made this in an hour or two, I like most of it but theirs something about the grass I don't like.

    Any advice would be helpful, I'm a digital art Newb.

    I'm not at all a pro and not even good at landscape so take my opinion with a pinch of salt, but I think the grass miss some contrasts.

    I like your colors and the storytelling but I think you can push it a little more.
    The light on your overall image is quite flat, the lava didn't shine really strong and there is no sense of the light direction. The colors are still strong so I can imagine the sun is still visible, ashes haven't cover all the sky yet so you should add more shadow to help understand the space

    Also, the foreground have absolutly no details, colors aren't darker too. Actualy, the foreground is "missing", because it's flatened with the middle ground (rocks with lava). The missing depth is what bother you I think. Try to work on it and it will solve a part of your problem
