DC Comics Concept Art (Advice needed for uni)

Any advice on how I can improve my concept art would be much appreciated.

This work was created for a university project. Here is part of the brief:

"For the content of your outcome you are
asked to review your chosen community of
practice’s ‘shared repertoire’ and ‘domain of
knowledge’ to find one key example of work
that resonates with you to use as a starting
point. This could be a piece of practical
work, a central theory, concept, a common
method or approach, a key text from a book,
magazine, website, blog etc or a quote or
extract from a speech or presentation by a
key participant of the community of practice"

For my community of practice I chose concept art and for the key of example of work I chose the concept art from the video game infamous, part of the project also suggests we get industry evaluation so any feedback would be great. Thanks. =]

I think these look pretty good so far. The one in the middle has a pretty face. Her ribs and thong look a little awkward. So with this assignment, do you have full freedom to redesign these characters at your leisurely discretion? If so, you could go with more outlandishly original ideas applied to established characters, reinventing them in the eyes of viewers/comic consumers.

    Cool stuff.

Yes I see what you mean with the ribs, also it is meant to be ripped jeans shorts not a thong. Yes, I wanted to redesign them with a hipster modern vibe and they are very departed from their original looks.

Nearly finished, I think having it entirely desaturated makes it look more professional and presentable.
