Clouds
I'm trying to do a study of Valley of the Yosemite by Bierstadt, because I want to do more landscape painting,
but I'm having trouble getting the clouds. I think part of the difficulty is the values in that painting which are very complicated anyways. But something about the way it lights the clouds seems impossible to get, and I don't know what to do. I have tried painting clouds before and it has worked out all right, but these clouds are incredibly difficult.
Is there any technique to use with painting clouds? I don't know what to do.

Post pictures of the original and your attempts. It's impossible to give you any advice without seeing what your problem is. "It's incredibly difficult" says exactly nothing about the real nature of your problem.
