    Favorate Classic Games

Hey. With all of the game threads here, what's one more? What are your favorate classic games? You know. Atari, arcade, nes, snes, genesis, etc. Time to get nastalgic. I know that I personally can still appreciate my old favorates despite their technological disadvantage. A good game is a good game.

    Mine are:

    Super Metroid (snes)
    Killer Instinct (snes)
    Star Fox (snes)
    Metal Warriors (snes)
    Earth Worm Jim (snes)
    R-Type 3 (snes)
    Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (snes)
    Legend of Zelda (snes)

Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
    Secret of Mana
    Chrono Trigger
    Final Fantasy 6

Wish I never sold my SNES now, but I guess thats what ROMs are for.

    re:

    Metal Warriors was the bomb!

and are N64 games or PSone considered classics yet? hahaha
    if so:
Goldeneye and Perfect Dark would have to be at the top of my list.
Tyrants for the genesis was awesome.
shining force 1 and 2 were great.
and of course the mario bros. games.
    also bomberman!
super bomberman 2 i think was probably the best one.

Exo has mentioned quite a few masterpieces. If I had to name three they would be these...

Ninja Gaiden 2 - the nes. I loved all three, but 2 was the greatest.
    BlasterMaster on the Sega Genesis
Target Earth on the Sega Genesis

Einhander - Much fun and coolness to be found. (PS)

Metal Slug - you know you love it. (everything)

Gunstar Heroes - Beyond it's time and still blowing my mind (Genesis)

Streets of Rage 2 - First multiplayer game ever...

Wolfenstein 3D - check that. Me and my friend used to play together, under the name "Wolf." I would drive, he would shoot. Yeah, I know...

Vapor Trail - I had just bought my first videogame console (Genesis) and I still get chills whenever I play this on an emulator. Yes, it sucks, but so what.

Jungle Strike - all time favorite Genesis game outside of Gunstar Heroes...

I never got into SNES, I had some sort of anti-nintendo thing going on...I thought they were stuck up cause they thought they were better than Sega...I still say Genesis was the bomb...

Oddworld (Abe's Exodus, Oddysey) - PS
    Earthworm Jim (1 and 2) - Gen
    Sonic (1 and 2) - Gen
    Doom (1 and 2) - PC
Ren and Stimpy, Stimpy's Invention (Possibly the first game I bought) - Gen
    Nights - Saturn
    Astal - Saturn
    Rocket Knight Adventures - Gen
    Final Fantasy 7 - PS

Note that I played most of these games when I was really young so if you decide to go out and get them and happen to not like em, too bad. My view on these games are highly distorted.
