rant : i got my first reply for a job in like 2 years and I asked too much there where people who could also draw who asked less
what i asked was 50 euro for line art and 80 for simple shaded and coloured ( for multiple figure scenes)

Sorry to hear about that lost job offering
I feel ya, I was recently denied an internship myself, so yeah
People wouldn't even want me if I worked for free
That being said, I really like that composite of the zbrush worm-creature
Maybe try doing more like these?

Concerning your latest painting, it's good to see you pushing things until they're finished
However, I think using the highlights a bit more sparingly could help to shift focus more onto the creature?
I made a quick overpaint and also added color since it sometimes helps me with values

Anyway, please keep in mind that this is just a little suggestion coming from a person who struggles with that same issue a lot and has a pretty poor understanding of lighting

braineater: thank you for the overpaint with the creature I was thinking of those marble sculptures i draw in class so it is probablly to light but the light like you did looks correcter makes everything a bit too unifom in value i find.maybe even darker shadows
I found in a study i didhere that every dark was more close to black than I estimated .

    here are some things

so big post because it's been a while I've been to playgrounds and it was awesome got to talk and got reviews from 2 awesome magic the gathering artists ( Jesper Ejsing and suzanne Helmigh) and their advice was really helpfull and it was a really inspiring experience. Also I started my volunteer job at a group of art people that do project people like refugees, poor people and prisoners and such. very fun project and I can create a project with them also that is more linked to my work.

Great massive updates! Its really nice to read about that project with refugees etc, that sounds like something very nice to do. Also that you got some good critiques at Playgrounds, wish I could have been there. Next year I'll come over for sure. I definitely see steady improvement, I think studies like the drapery studies you did are the most efficient for improvement, especially if you combine it with an imaginative piece afterwards which includes drapery. So maybe try and add a bit more studies like that into your workflow, some anatomy, muscle, clothing, lighting studies of any kind are great. But most importantly keep rocking!

@ronja: jeah I'm happy I'm finally kind of stable and able to do more
@ shades of sun: I think sometimes a bit too much variety but I like changing things up

did the 250 cubes but perspective is still not a friend of mine :p

Great amount of work! Really love seeing those boxes, even though you might still find it hard it is such good practice, will really help understand forms and how to light and construct them.

Did two art shows last week spend 40 euro to stand there 13 for the train 30 on shirts and 50 for a tent also like 100 euro in total for all my prints I made.

Sold one print over the two events for 5 euro
well at least I can still bring them to other events ....

At at least I didn’t fall into depression like I would have if this happened a year ago
I think I can really stay stable for the first time since puberty ( look at the rest of my sketchbook I was a mess :p )

    here is a WIP

Went on a trip to normandy.
I might start a boring job halftime with shit pay because it is a workplace for people with troubles finding work and disabilities ( and of course has nothing to do with art ) I hope I’ll still find space for my art and my volunteer work
