    An idea...what do you think?

So I have had this idea where we choose an awesome and entirely deserving piece of art/thread here on CA, share it to reddit/digg or the like, and together do a flash mob style push where we bump that artists thread to the top of reddit/digg etc.... If enough of us do it, I think it can work. Mindcandyman's thread is a great example. It gets bumped on reddit and digg every few months or so and it has 3 Million views nearly...not bad at all for someone who likes to paint stuff

I was reading this today and thought..hmmm...it would be awesome to pick some great art on CA and help that artist/artwork become a viral hit. I'd be happy to help and if we send out the news and make a good push I bet we can do it, as long as we follow the rules.

    What do you think?

I think added exposure can only ever be a good thing. I must admit though, I'm pretty ignorant about Reddit and Digg.

It is a good thing...it leads to all sorts of unexpected opportunities for that person...and that is the kind of engine I want CA to continue to be...and at a much bigger scale.

That's a good idea. Do we have enough crowd on Reddit, though?

As a new addict to Reddit, I can certainly help with the upvoting.

Would this be a one-time thing or an occasional/semi-regular thing?

Agreed, any publicity is a good thing. Especially if the community can help people out.

Just need to figure out how to use Digg & Reddit _

Might be fun if people who do enjoy livestreaming could give flags/notifications within CA.org if they do so. Those interested could go see their streams.

Angel, Reddit's essentially the procrastinator's heaven, and I'd advice against anybody going there shortly before a deadline

But, the idea's pretty solid. Provides incentive for the artist as well, I'd think.

from what i read I think we have plenty of great people to get it done. We would need to NOT make multiple accounts...as it has to all be legit. But if we can get a bunch of peeps to do it I think it will work. It would be fun to have it like a "make you famous" engine. CA gets a lot of traffic...millions per year, but reddit gets much much much more. I think it would be a fun experiment anyway.

I will put some more thought into it and we can pick someone and give it a shot.

    Reminds me of Noah Bradley.
He's doing a lot of stuff recently over on Reddit.
He got kinda known there, if I'm not mistaken.
