Good studies! I like the hard edges I'm seeing on the environment study.

More studies, more. Where are they?!

Hey guys, here are some studies and sketches, mostly digital, because I hate to scan or photograph the traditional stuff xD

The purpose of the studies range from experimentation to profound analysis... some just trying stuff from scratch without reference others doing some kind of reverse "engineering" throughout visual art and design foundations. The amount of time spent is usually short(between 20 minutes to 1 hour), but some few are longer (2 or 3 hours).

    Some digital studies:

I painted the first to explore a cinematic photography and light. Started from a rough character sketch(look in the posts above).

    Camping in the woods.

Today's 30 minute studies. Working with light and brushwork, exploring some kind of drybrushing.

I sculpted this study to put in practice some anatomy, to practice in zbrush and grow my visual library. The main interest was gesture and structure in the whole, so I didn't polish it to more finished level...

I started with zspheres kinda building an skeletal armature, then I used zsketch to lay in muscle masses, then I sculpted to polish, add some tendons and set the gesture of main wrinkles and fat masses.
