I was too unproductive, and I wasn't too pleased with the results.

I decided I should do a storyboard to close off my gesture studies.

maybe you right, since it's morning and I can feel my hand is little sore. I draw from the shoulder when I'm drawing on paper, but I don't know how to do this when I'm drawing using tablet. Maybe I just need a little practice.

I actually have to draw from the elbow. Just try to avoid drawing from the wrist or even worse your fingers. Fine inking in particular is the worst for you.

Raoul Duke - Good to hear you found this thread through the thumbnails. Think I might need to do something about our exposure. We also received more views this week.

A new round is up! You can find it HERE

BlackDelphin Whenever I have a little extra time! I believe the critique is one of CA.org's biggest strengths, so I like to add crits whenever I can. Often I don't have the spare time, or I decide to spend it on studying instead. Been a while though, so perhaps this week again

Personally I'm pretty excited about this. I'm currently trying to figure out who did us this favour. I'm not sure where the image is from either.

Also - very diverse gestures this round. Looking good!
    Hey Anthis
If I remember correctly this is one of Jason's personal pieces, so I'd ask him...
    Hope this helps...
Here's the link I've seen his pics...in the first post....

    Heya Thujon,
Ha! I didn't know that. Nice. I'll contact him once the dust settles in the lounge - he's likely preoccupied right now. Thanks for pointing out though, fun seeing some of his older work!

To get a good range of motion, you might need to zoom into your canvas, especially if you're using a smaller tablet. Some Wacom's also have a "precision mode," which shrinks the section of screen that the tablet maps to.

While I'm here, I might as well post a few studies-

Ancientdrake is correct! The newest spartan camp rounds can be found under community activities.

That being said, time to bug one of the mods again and ask for the link to be fixed.

Don't worry, the confusion is understandable. It has been like this for quite a while.

Feel free to post your work in the new thread

Hey Rabidtooth, nice values on your sketches. you should post them in the latest Spartan thread in Community Activites, we're on number 295 now lol.
I think Spartan needs it own forum for that Art Challenges link.

---- EDIT - AHHH I think I did a mistake -.- I thought it was until 3 march 2014 but I think I did wrong ... I did all that for almost nothingg >.> sorry for spamming them

    -------------------

First time in Spartan Camp and love the idea and how people work on it: guys you did great job in those gestures, i'm glad you share your work I really enjoy observing all you work in this topic.

So ... here I tried to truly stick to the description of this topic which is screenshots which was really hard ... really hard to found full body screenshots >.>
More than that it says that we should recognize so I do my best to try to fit the rule/description.
All in one shot and really hard for the brain !! But absolutly helpful especially in one shot ... that allows to see the improvement in your way of thinking a shape.
Here my exercise was to work on values instead of lines.
Can't wait until the next one even if I'm EXHAUSTED
Let all of us keep it up !!!

Studies are never for nothing. Even ones that don't see the light of day.
Anyways, you should post them in the latest thread for crits.
