    A G1mp's Sketchbook.

Hei, Thanks for coming here and having a look at my dire efforts at becoming an artist.

I'm here trying to push my abilities, and to seek direction from this beautiful community of humble artists and professionals. To this point I've spent 6 chilling years in university and college, crushing my artistic spirit for a bit of paper titled "DEGREE". I am here as a last attempt, to better myself as an artist and to "eventually" produce emotional, meaningful and original pieces of art.

I'm a little lost right now, and don't know if I'll ever see a job in the creative industries. Hopefully coming here will give me exposure and confidence once more.

    Hephaestus' Automatons

The goal for this project is to recreate characteristics as visual forms. I'm using Homer's Iliad as a reference point for the characters. These are two simple concepts for his two golden female servants. (still working on colour eh.)

    King Agamemnon

So, here's another character from the Iliad, this time its king Agamemnon. I was primarily focusing on practicing my rendering skills and a bit of line drawing / pose.

I was very displeased with this concept sheet and invested too much time. I feel like I've ended up creating some random soldier dude that doesn't have any visual coherence with the book.
