Thread: Digitalwolf's Sketchbook
February 17th, 2013 #1
I introduced myself in another post but i'll do a short one again. Its been two years without any serious drawing, haven't even really sketched anything either. So i'm trying to get back on it. My new years resolution was to draw daily.
Looking back there's a few things most important to me right now.
- Drawing Daily
- Drawing dynamic poses
- Varied natural facial expressions
- Natural scenery
in that order.
To start i'm going to be doing minimum 30 minute gesture drawing sessions daily using these two sites.
This only 15 minutes, for the moment. Will do more tonight.

Been a while...
I've been meaning to post recent work here. After doing the gesture drawings i wanted to get back into just crating regular work. So for the past two months i've been doing that. I've also been hanging out on google plus a lot, its fun.
I'll do these in order that i completed them... its not everything and its mostly fan work. Is there a way to scale down images?
My own chaarcter
First attempt at just painting, i really should do this more often as it was fun. it just took a lot of time. This was commissioned.
Commission for a friend, i had a hard time figuring out the angle so i had to download a open-source model to pose in blender for reference. Naturally i had to beef him up, but i feel like i could have done more on that part.
These last two were just sketches i did.
This one is miyako from hidemari sketch, someone suggested i draw her. so i did a somewhat more realistic interpretation...

And current WIP's
Another Fan work of a dot hack character.
A fan comic involving SSX character mac, this is my first attempt at sequential art in a long long time. SSX being a major love of mine, i hope to do it justice.
The sketch his is all place holder for when i do the characters actual details. The only thing i'm worried about is background.
